Coordinating communications and administration at United Founders Oy
The beginning of a new journey
In May 2024 I received an amazing opportunity to work for United Founders Oy as Administration and Communications Coordinator managing interesting tasks both in communications and marketing as well as administration. United Founders Oy is a business community for multiple companies who offer services in construction industry such as structural design, architecture design, HVAC design, electrical design as well as fire consult and sprinkler design. Administration manages for example internal communications, event organizing and HR-tasks for all companies while also maintaining external communications by newsletters and social media posts.
Administration acts as a right hand for the entrepreneurs of the community and helps them at handling every day tasks of communication, reporting, billing, project set up and offer preparation. Administration also communicates to payroll and other stakeholders. Main customers are housing cooperatives, building contractors and property owners.
Marketing and Communications
Marketing and Communications at United Founders Oy and other companies in the community are primarily focused on sending newsletters to company's contact base and informing them about upcoming deals, events as well keeping them in the know of new roles, partnerships and more. Creating informative yet intriguing content has required creativity as well as skills in copy-writing and basic photo editing but it has been a pleasure and one of my favorite tasks.
Social media is also important part of the job. Brainstorming ideas, creating a social media calendar, creating content as well publishing have also been under the works. At the moment, the focus has been mainly at Takoi's Instagram and creating reels for them of different events. You can find latest reel of Takoi's customer event Takoi Casino 2025 here. In addition to social media, part of my tasks is to write and publish job announcements, helping with presentations and other marketing materials.
Events and development project
Tasks in the filed of Marketing and Communications also have included coordinating events starting all the way from planning to executing and gathering feedback. Events have varied from staff events to customer events with different themes and targets. All in all, event organizing is fun and fast paced with a mix of unpredictable but solvable surprises!
In the autumn of 2024 I was also lucky enough to lead a development project. The plan was to create a orientation manual for the business community which would ensure that everyone will receive the same orientation. Orientation manual would also bring more equality to the community's orientation practices between different companies. Working with manual took approximately 6 months alongside daily tasks to create it from start to finish. I required many meetings brainstorming, giving and receiving feedback as well as fixing little details in appearance of the manual but finally it was released and taken to practice in April. This was a huge project for me and I am so proud of the outcome!
UF's 10 year anniversary book
During summer 2025 another project was brought my way. United Founders is celebrating 10th year anniversary in spring 2026 and I got the opportunity to start piecing together an anniversary book for the next years celebrations. The book will hold stories from founders of United Founders, personnel and clients as well as give insight to different design and construction projects that UF has been part of through the years. The book will also include annual reports as well as pictures of different customer and personnel events and other remarkable moments in UF's history.
Looking ahead
I am so happy of the projects I have already made and I am eagerly looking forward to immerse myself in the next projects coming my way. I am also proud of the impact that my daily tasks, projects as well as ideas on developing processes have had on the company. Hopefully I can keep growing and improving as professional in the guidance of UF until the end of the year. Sadly, my fixed-term contract as maternity leave substitute is coming to an end and at the end of this year. I am certain I will carry every learned new skills, every friendly contact form coworker of customer and new perspectives molded by UF with me to new adventures ahead!
